Luxury, Small Batch, Homewares | B2C Ecommerce

Meet the Client

Emma Alviti is a textile designer based in Manchester. Emma designs beautiful homewares inspired by the joyful moments in life.

Her luxury homewares are of the highest quality and Emma endeavours to create sustainably using fabric offcuts in her 'waste not' range that includes lavender bags and cute pouches.

Audit

We started with a full site audit identifying all of the technical SEO opportunities. We researched keywords by deep-diving into the site, what it's ranking for now, Google Search Console queries and a thorough competitor gap analysis.

We found that although SEO efforts were made, SEO was missing strategic direction. The audit enabled us to identify the opportunities and optimise the website accordingly.

The Client's Goals

Emma wanted to earn clicks through SEO efforts. Social media was becoming increasingly challenging with its ever-changing and rather unsupportive algorithm. We wanted to earn clicks for people searching for exactly what Emma was creating: luxury homewares.

Step Two: Strategy

Strategy for 3 months

Our research identified keyword opportunities and content gaps.

Also, what our focus would be: adding keywords and content to revenue generating pages such as products and collections. Then, blogs.

Before we got to work the website had the bare minimum on site. We needed to increase content across the pages to help the site rank.

Step 3: Implementation

SEO & PPC Implementation

Emma worked incredibly hard on her site. Under our consultancy she amended URL structure, added content to the page, added strategic keywords to products and collections. She also ventured into the world of blogging and wrote her first blogs.

Step 4: Scale

Content & Scale

Once the SEO basics were in place, we began to scale with blog content and new products and category pages.

And did it work?

The Results

For a young domain with low authority, Emma earned some great results including an increase of clicks and impressions for non-brand related keywords. The increase of clicks and impressions for non-brand terms can be attributed entirely to SEO efforts.

Performance Results

Traffic Started to Increase

Since working together Emma's website earned clicks for non-branded keywords for the first time. Impressions increased from 3,820 to 25,500

I’ve been working with Zoe for the past few months to improve the SEO for my small business. Zoe’s so enthusiastic and her passion for SEO was clear from the start. She’s buzzing with ideas which is really motivating and definitely helped spark my own too.

She has such a genuine interest in improving businesses and is therefore really understanding when a suggestion isn’t quite the right fit and will work with you to find an alternative. Zoe makes everything simple to understand and organizes work in such a clear way that it’s easy to see the next steps.

Since working with Zoe my impressions have increased greatly, clicks are beginning to come through and I now have a much deeper understanding of SEO which I can put into practice confidently. I’d recommend working with Zoe in a heartbeat!
